Lurking for a while. Finally got all my pics of my build ready to post up, but I thought I'd give an intro and bring a small offering for all the regulars, who I know love pics.
First the intro. Grew up in SW Oklahoma. Started racing motocross in '72 at 13, turning pro at 16. Lived, breathed, ate, etc. the sport until I "retired" at 20 and went on to college. Quite a bit of it, as my screen name denotes. But I never got too far away from my roots. Once a shop rat, always a shop rat. I like to watch the look on people's faces at work when they shake my hand.....somehow they never expect a doctor to have 60 grit palms!!
At any rate, you'll see my hobbies in this post, and for sure in my build post, which I hope to get up tonight or tomorrow. For now, here's my little offering to the God's of GJ (yes...we all know who they are!)
A few weeks ago, I had posted some pics on a local motocross board showing my system of holding bikes in place in trailer (apologies to MXtra on this). They made the flooring look pretty bad. Here's a couple of the before shots:
Today I pulled everything out, including the trim and tie-down rails, and grabbed a bunch of the leftover motofloor from my shop project. Here's the results!
I'd also like to say how helpful it was to have this site as I did my build. Some pretty fantastic stuff posted on here!
