Yeah, it IS a pretty cool site.
I turned wrenches for 40+ years professionally, and yet I still feel like a total amateur compared to the MUCH more knowledgeable folks on this forum!

wow. thanks for the replies. 95060 is santa cruz,ca. unfortunately, the tool i use most is a computer for CAD / residential design. always been interested in home shops...and "making". i think true craftsmanship is a dying art. i joined this forum because i am slowly building my own shop and think this forum is a great resource. thanks again.

here's an in progress pic of setting up my shop. the space i am using is about 6ft. wide, 6ft tall and about 20ft long...i the "basement/crawlspace" of my house. gonna have to be creative.
