Hi everyone I've been looking around this site for the last little and find it very informative. I have a question for you, I'm adding on to the back of my garage it's a 8 ft x 14 ft extension. The header in the garage right now consists of a double 2x4 i was wondering if i put a 2x6x 14 ft long on either side would that be strong enough to support the roof i add on? The roof would span 14 ft across and 8 ft out.The walls of the new addition will be sitting on cement foundation.
