Hello all

Just wanted to say what a great site for ideas and good times.
I am in the stages of selling two houses and moving out of state for good. I have retired 10 yrs ago and did the take care of family thing and now its ME time.....

So when I move I will be building a good size garage. I have the toys just that they just need a roof over them......

I have collected most of the items to install in the garage and have them all over the house packed up and ready to go....

Just wish I could sell the two places and go.... oh well soon I hope.

Thank you

WJW

WJW: so you put in your profile "moving" as your location. that's original. what part of the world are you moving from and to? any pictures of some of the toys going in the new garage to post and make some of us jealous and give your thread some color?

welcome and if you need information about building a nice garage and how to arrange it you are at the right place because way too much information here.

cheers

Drivesitfar thanks for the kind words....

I am on Long Island NY now and moving to FLA. need to be able to use some of the toys more often than in the cold of the NE.
Well just a little tease on the toys ..
F1 type hull (link for a cool 360 up and over spin(
) not me but this driver has had some very bad run ins with other boats. Well the boat did not keep going like is says due to the fact we run mercury kill switches(well we are suppose toanyway) just the momentum would push the boat some distance.
16 ft
200 hp Mercury..do they make any others!!!
Top speed is about 135 with a new racing motor but those days are long gone...did that done that ......now I just like to go fast with friends..... please keep those blow boats away!!
When it was delivered the guys were making the second trip for me with a new boat (long story) and they ended up going thru New York City(mistake) and ended up stopping at the Empire State building(not knowing this) and asking for directions... then people started to ask if it was the new bat man boat for the next movie... this was back in 2000 I think.....
Only changes I have made to it is paint the trailer jack black and put led lights all the way around hard to see at night on the road on the trailer......
The most crazy race tho is the 24 hours they run on a river in France... have one light they put in center of hull. They must haul boat for fueling... But and I mean but the river traffic keeps going..... and the waves can get over 6 feet that these little wood/fiberglass boats jump....

WJW: thanks for posting a picture of one of your cool toys. also for the YouTube video of another one like yours doing a 360 flip.

good luck on the move and if you have smooth water is it more fun to drive those boats or do you need a little choppy water to run them?

do you have any questions on how to use the forum or are you just enjoying reading the posts you'd like to find information about?

cheers

Thanks guys for the warm welcome.

The boat does better with a very lite ripple on the water (did I say ripple at 545 AM)

Well the move is not going well can not sell a house for over a year now ...but I will get it done some how this year..... no more winters for me.....

Really doing hours of reading on here so I can try and make less mistakes on the build.....
Thanks again

On a side note the picture on my profile is the late test area for Mercury Marine called LAKE X yes LAKE X ......

Welcome to GJ WJW.

Where on LI? I lived in the Port Jeff area for six years back in the 80s. Currently Retired in Northern Maine.

Good luck with the move and new garage. Just make sure there is room for expansion, they are never big enough.

WJW: good luck on the house sale. I'm also posting to see if you get an email to notify you that there are posts on your threads. i think that only happens one time per day and for me at 10 PM. i do get notified right away if i get a PM (private message) from another member that works sort of like email for members only.

any other questions? or just enjoy reading about all the nice garages and cool ideas some of the members have posted.
