Hello everyone,

I'm Kurt, hailing from New Jersey, and I'm new to welding. I've recently taken up Stick and MIG welding and am eager to get better at both. I've always been curious about the craft and decided it's time to really dive in and learn the ins and outs.

Though I'm just starting out, I'm enthusiastic about honing my skills and learning from the experienced welders here. I'm especially interested in any advice or resources that can help me improve. I'm here to learn, share my progress, and hopefully contribute as I gain more experience.

Yep, lots of good advice to be found here. The mods do a very good job of keeping the riff-raff out so you can actually learn stuff without having to wade through miles of BS......

Welcome Aboard from South Western California. I too am a “Wanna Be” weldor, upon retirement from my last job I purchased an AC/DC Stick Welder and I am now Certified Dangerous with 7014 on AC.

I have burnt a few pounds of rod on discarded bed frames and odd pieces of Secondary Steel purchased from a local salvage yard.
