Newbie Introduction!

Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I am a semi retired shop of 30 years and recently moved from the Chicago burbs to Southern Utah about 110 miles N of Las Vegas. I learned about GJ while looking for garage build ideas on the Internet. I am currently getting plans drawn for a 35x40 stand alone building in my yard. I will be reading and following other member experiences from their builds. All info. and input is always appreciated.

MR.D: welcome to the group and plenty of reading about current and old garage builds and i can't tell you the how much talent we have here. if you needed to build a rocket ship we probably have the right guys.

so any pictures of your land to post so you can maybe get some ideas on prep you might want to do from those that have done some already? pole building, stick built on foundation with or without short walls or metal framed?
