Hi all. I will be doing my first garage flooring project in the near future. My garage is 400 sq. ft. I ordered two SuperCoat Standard epoxy kits and one industrial strength glaze coating kit. On their website SuperCoat states that each epoxy kit will cover 250 sq. ft. A couple of people on this forum have stated that one kit will cover more than this.

Do you think I should use one kit as a thin base coat, then apply the second kit as a second coat the next day. Or, should I mix both kits and do one thicker application covered by the glaze?

Buying a third epoxy kit is not in my budget, unfortunately. Any advice is appreciated.

I've always found a thinner first coat and thicker second coat to give better aesthetic results. A thinner first coat will give you less chance for bubbles and such, and a thicker second coat lets you have more material to self level out and yield a smooth finish. Definitely talk to the manufacture if you plan to deviate from their written instructions, though.
