Good evening all!
I'm new around here and I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I picked up this Craftsman bench grinder from a fella on FB marketplace for my favorite price... FREE!.. He was originally asking $50 and I wasn't sure I needed to add any more restorations to the list currently (I'm finishing up a Craftsman 113 contractor saw and have a 40s Atlas model 64 drill press in queue). But when I inquired about the model number and he replied, "You can have it, if you want it", my decision was made for me! Haha. Anyway, I'm having difficulty finding information about this particular grinder. There's a number casted in the housing, but I'm not sure it's the actual model number, and I don't see anything anywhere else. It's a belt drive from the 60s (I'm basing that information on the logo style) but thats about all the info I've gathered so far. Does anyone here recognize this model? Could there be a number somewhere that I'm missing? Are there any other sources I should look into? I've done Google image searchs and searched the number on the housing without much luck, aside from a restoration thread on Vintage Machinery of a similar model. I'm currently waiting for approval from Vintage Machinery to see if anyone there can help out. In the meantime, I thought I'd see if any of the local experts here could help. I've attached some photos. Any and all information is GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
Kyle
