so ive been scrollin this threads few a few days and have found alot of info on epoxy, vinyl, and tiles. also about people redoing their garages, with the grinding and degreasers. but heres a ques. i have, what if you are just about to pour a slab for your auto shop(mostly hobby but still want it to look nice) the concrete guy say he will apply a sealer, but if i have to turn around and grind off whats the point? Also i have to put the building up? And there is nothing but red dirt right now, concrete guy says that will stain it?So if put down epoxy after the concrete cures, and then put the building up, surely there will be tire marks from the equiment, will they come up? Any help would be great! thanks

If you plan on a pigmented epoxy than you can pressure wash off later and it should be fine.
If you plan on any clear type products you may try to protect the floor with some cardboard to help minimize tire-marks, drops, etc...

If you plan on applying epoxy, do not let them put a sealer on your concrete. You are correct in thinking it is a waste. Make sure you let the concrete cure for at least 30 days before applying any type of coating. Most people do apply a pigmented epoxy rather than just a clear.
