Hello Guys.

First post here, but many in 4X4 BBs.

After watch all 65 pages of the Gallery Pictures, I made my two work/welding tables using many ideas of them.

Welding table was made by 40X40X3mm square tubing with a 6mm surface, with chop saw housing and wheels.

The working bench was made to allocate 9 concrete mix plastics boxes with 2 layers of 12mm plywood plus 1m of offset printer rubber as upper layer, and 1m of steel or stainless steel layer (pending).
The last 30cms are for hard hammerings, using 6mm steels plate and a reinforced 40X40X3 structure.

6 legs are ground bolted.

Hope you like 'em.

Great looking benches... plus they look like they are built to outlast the garage, house and you. I love the multi-surface top. Best of both worlds...

Ok, for those of us not in the business, would you mind explaining "press blankets" for us?

I assume they are the metal plates you are using for the benchtops? What are the specifications for them?

Well, I only received such blanket as a gift, and used it for my tool box, and now for my bench.

I dont know his purposed on the litho machine, but know that is a strong rubber, that dont dirt and with a soft texture in the outer surface.

I took some pictures that expect clarify a little how the carpet is.

Nice fire extinguisher, an item most people do not have. But I tend to notice things like fire extinguishers.

For years I supervised a commercial retail printer running 6-color Heidleberg sheet fed litho presses. I've since sidestepped into the industry of flexography for the last 5 years.

there a blanket that wraps the printing cyl to transfer the image from the plate cyl to the paper, in offset printing,

one blanket new is about $200.00 a piece FYI

Woh, woh, woh. Wait right there. "Accessory" implies that it isn't necessary. A beer fridge is a necessity. It's an important tool to be used after a job well done, at the end of a productive day or as a brainstorming tool when a problem proves more difficult than first expected (or when you just want a beer ;)).

That's one great looking workbench. I might have to copy some of your ideas when I put mine together. Of course, I won't have any of those nifty rubber pads, but I'll figure something out.

That is a sweet set up. You seem to maximize your space very well. I also have a small space to work but it isn't mine (rental). I look forward to being back in my own space so I can build at will.
On the printing note, my dad has sold printing for years so I have gotten to see all kinds of cool presses.

Never thought of using blankets for a worktop. i used to have one on my wall to stop my car door getting bashed.

Was thinking about cutting them up and using them to line the inside of my toolbox drawers.
