Here are some pics of my garage. I started working on it in Sept of 04, starting with a new driveway. Anyway, I have some before/afters and if you are interested in looking at more pics take a peek here:

I've drywalled, taped, and painted the walls. I started by moving the **** (my wife never throws anything out) from one side to another. Then worked on a wall at a time. I have slowly moved all the **** out and stored it elsewhere. I used white Primer from Home Depot as it was only $10/gal and covers very well while leaving a nice finsished flat white appearance. I then ran 1 foot square vinal self adhesive b/w tiles around the wall at the mid-way point, and up and down the walls covering the drywall seams. It is trimed up with that prefinished plastic trim.
I prewired a total of 22 outlets in the garage (never enough) not including the ceiling outlets for a future garage door opener. I put in the expensive light fixtures as the cheapo $10 ones I bought blew ballasts and could not take the cold. I also built the work benches using 2x4's and secured them to the walls. Built the cabinets too, as well as doors, which are all framed out of maple, and biscuit jointed together, then a couple coats of clear poly. I still have to finish the doors for the top cabinets, and drawer fronts for the drawers. The drawers were actually recycled from my previous kitchen redo project.
Next up is floor and ceiling. I plan to do a high sitting drop hang, and will likely install some can lights over the work benches for additional lighting. The floor is going to be either VCT, or QuickCrete painted. Not sure yet. Anyway, it is too cold to do the floor right now. I am also going to make over my frig to look like an HD gas pump. I have the pump and hose, and other bits, just have to paint the doors/sides and find a HD Globe for the top.
Also on for spring time is to run a larger power feed and install a 60 amp panel. The garage is fed by a 10/2 currently and is only on a 15 amp breaker. So it is either run the lights or shop vac, not both at the same time currently. I will also run sat and phone lines out there as well. I have wireless set up, so I can surf the web all day long out there. But I own an ISP, so that part was easy.
I'm having tons of fun doing this and driving my wife insane at the same time. What more could you ask for? I probably have around $6 + into this project over two years (but that includes the driveway). Eventually I will house my 74 1/2 MGB along side my V-Rod and other toys in here. I have every imaginable power tool so I can also get a lot of those wood working projects done now as well.
As for all the other **** that would normally be in a garage, I am putting up a storage unit for the tractor, lawn mower, kids toys, rakes, bikes, etc... The garage is off limits to anything but daddy's toys, and of course a well stocked frig full of brew.
Anyway, glad to be here and hope to post more pics in the future as the project nears completetion.
