Hi all,

I recently splurged for my first ever SnapOn product, an FHLF80 ratchet that was sold as new from a reputable seller off EBay. I was disappointed to learn it wasn't stamped USA, but searching/reading in other threads educated me on that subject. My question is related to whether this is really a new ratchet or an older one with a replacement handle sold as new. The ratchet head is the old style logo, and the handle is the new style. I also can't find the date code anywhere on the charts I've seen. Any insight into what I've got on my hands is appreciated. Just trying to educate myself. Before I get flamed, I did try the search function and couldn't find answers to these questions.

Thanks!

Thanks! That chart is different than the one I was looking at. Much appreciated. Any opinion as to the different logos on the head vs. the handle?

2009. The date code is the symbol after the 8.

I assume it's a backwards 9 so as not to be confused with a 6.

That's pretty nice ratchet you have there, nice tools rule!

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I can't express how awesome this board is. The amount of money I've saved working on my own vehicles and such based on the knowledge I've gained here and in a few other forums has allowed me to spend the money I keep saving on my ever-growing tool habit.
