Hi, my name is Greg and I just joined up today. So far, i really like this site. Lots of information and such and beautiful garages! Anyway, a little background on my garage. Its a 2 car with second story. The second story is a one bedroom apartment. The first floor is all poured concrete and partially underground. Nothing special inside, just concrete and stuff and two cars. I have not really done anything with it yet. (That is partially why I am on this site) The town I live in is basically hills. My property is 50' wide by 150' long and has a dead end alley beside it. My garage was built in 1982 (years before I bought the house which is 102 years old) Because of the narrow width and the only access for a garage being the alley, I have a hard right or left into my garage with a very small driveway area. My garage is also at least 2 to 3 feet higher than the alley. Its kind of hard to explain but because of the slope of my property, the back right corner of the garage is level with the ground, and the left front corner is the highest point. I supplied a picture link to help explain it. The pictures with snow are of my garage. The other two pictures show the alley and my neighbors garage.(to the right) Wait till you see what he had to do to build his garage a few years ago! Anyway, please feel free to comment. Thanks.
