I know I'm a bit late but for future info for anyone, the best stuff to strip old paint to bare metal finish is to use aircraft paint stripper!

Nawww, the Aircraft Stripper is mainly for fiberglass, aluminum, and 2-stage paints where you want to remove the paint and not the epoxy primer.

For a stripper on a toolbox just use the ole' KleenStrip stuff. It works even better than the Aircraft Stripper because it takes the epoxy primer too. :)

I wouldn't say crazy.....

You do realize that you can't ever sell the thing now. If it leaves your keep you wont be able to wax or polish it anymore.

Am I crazy? I spent 2 hours waxing this toolbox. I will walk away from it and then go back and start wiping it down again. I think I might be losing it.

Crazy? No, just a regular GJ member! :spit:

Rider, awesome job on that Snap On roller. What did you use those heavy duty grinding wheels for exactly?

I've never used anything that abrasive on a toolbox...:scared:
