Hello, everyone. I've been hanging out at the HAMB for years, but moving along to build a shop, of sorts...

I've been working (hobby) on 'Doodlebugs', garden tractors, and old cars for a few years, then retired a couple of years ago. I was doing one of those days where I put on a pound of bondo, sand off two pounds, then track it all into the house... The wife came out, with her finger wagging, "you've got to build yourself a real shop"! What guy doesn't want to hear that?

With our regulations here, I am really restricted on placement of a new building... After fussing with various ideas, I have opted to remodel an existing storage building, to accomplish a new shop.

As is, it is 16 x 20, low ceiling, gravel floor, used as storage, with a loft. I intend to build a new wall, 6' to the east and a extended the north wall will move 16'. The new area, 16 x 22 will be insulated and heated, with the remainder for parking and storage.

I converted a 1928 Chevy that had been converted into a farm tractor, into a Vintage speedster. Its been loads of fun, logging nearly 4000 miles on it over the past 4 years. To my knowledge, the engine is original, never opened up. Currently working on a 34 Chevy PU, with a Cad flathead engine... Maybe next summer. Also recently dragged home a Packard inline 8 engine for a future toy.

But enough about me... Looking forward to learning about ways to improve my plan for the new shop.

Looks like a dandy candidate to iritate momma. Interesting the choice of rearend, Graham Brothers. I'm guessing the ebrake is the only brakes on it, on the driveline. Don't understand the barrel above the radiator, unless it is used as a sprayer. I have one similar, but instead of two trans, it has two rearends. The first is rotated so the axles are vertical with the upper, cut off. The lower axle drives the second rearend that has been rotated so its drive axle comes in from the top. Each is a homemade work of art, built for a specific job. Gotta figure out what the builder wants to accomplish, to understand what he bu
