Hi there JB,
I have never resealed a floor jack. But I have resealed a lot of hyd cylinders. Sounds like you should have the correct seals. I googled resealing a walker floor jack and found a few you tube posts, you could look at those for starters. It is a good idea to do a good job of draining the cylinder first. Get the end you will be taking apart as clean as you can. It will be messy, even well drained you could have a bit of oil coming out with the rod and packing, so prepare for that. Pay close attention to the seal lips, rod dirt seal lip towards the outside, oil seal lip toward the oil.If there are backing rings behind the seal pay close attention to how those are arranged. A Walker should be a good unit designed to be rebuilt, so you have that going for you.
Good for you for giving this a try, and best of luck.

JB: i do like the old Walker Turner tools and happy to see that you are trying to rebuild or fix yours instead of scrapping it. there is a great thread on hydraulic jack rebuilds in case you haven't seen it so start here and see if it might also give you some answers.

welcome to our group and ask questions if you need help and look forward to hearing you were able to get your Walker jack working again.

Thanks for the warm welcome to all,
Can anyone direct me to a video or step by step for the resealing of my old 767?
I have tried searching and end up with HIBalls FAQs but get lost in a loop

correct Floor jack.jpg

IMG_1353.JPGI am concerned about my floor jack I think I have a 754 (1 1/4 ton)hydraulic unit in a 767 jack
looking at a 767 picture recently posted and then at my jack the hydraulic unit looks smaller.
could someone give me the ram Shaft diameters of the 1 1/2 and the 1 1/4 units?
here are two pictures
Thanks
Jeff

JB: i wish i could tell you the answer, but i will say that this introduction area usually doesn't get many of the members eye. that said you might get on a thread talking about Walker jacks or jacks in particular and if the answer isn't already on that thread you might ask the same questions there and get a quicker or better response.

good luck and ask questions here if you need help with the forum. or tell us more about yourself.

cheers
