Here is my latest koken order.... I have been off the site for a while because I have a problem... So since I did get more stuff I thought I would post up some pics... I got a bunch of extensions... 1inch to 36... Wobble and non wobble... Also 6 stuff installer/removers and 2 impact drivers both the same, and various adapters/bit holders and 2 breaker bars... A 1/4 ratchet adapter. Nice stuff and great prices as well. Also a 1/2 inch 6 point deep metric set 10-25 and shallow set but most are 12 point.

Welcome back 48548, I was wondering where'd you gone. Nice Koken haul. You're the guy who talked me into getting some of their extensions and I must say they are my favorites...and South Bay Tools is reasonably local!

Very nice! I have a few Koken things and they're great. Have you used any of the impact sockets yet? I have two of their impact sockets and the fit and finish is great, but i've yet to use them. I want more of their tools, they're just too nice to not have!

Darn it, if it is Rob from SBT, that's twice he's missed my email... :tantrum2:

PM quattrojon instead. I've bought numerous things off him and it's been nothing but a great experience. Even when he had to order Koken things specially they were at my door within a few days. He's a great guy. :)

As you turn the stuff remover it tightens on the threads and will turn the threads with out messing them up as the load is spread on the 3 "bearings". Also the wholes for them are made in a way that it pushes the bearings closer to the center as you turn to keep them tight.

Never used the impact sockets just got them.... They were too cheap to pass up and will replace my HF set.

I keep seeing the word "cheap." Just how affordable is this brand?! I'm sort of drooling.

Oh, I will reserve some funds for the flea market treasures that you are seeking. There aren't many weeks left for the markets here, though!

BTW, I do owe you a reply to the PM. When I get a chance to come up for air, I'll send it off.

I'll take it that come winter the missus will be packing the blue wig and y'all be headin' for Fla. in the DeVille?

I have seen Koken used in many car shops here in Norway, as well as general industrial use. IIRC there were some round head ratchets (way back) that didn't get the best reviews but generally good stuff.

Edit: Have used some 1/4" stuff myself and it feels like the real deal.

They are not supposed to be cheap but the sole US distributor - South Bay Tools - has a bunch of leftover stock and sells them for wholesale. I paid between $1 and $8 for wobble/fixed extensions, $5 for a thumbwheel spinner, $5 for a 1/4 drive sliding t-bar, etc. He has more but I can't seem to get ahold of him.

It would be nice if there was somewhere online to purchase these tools. I have been looking for a few weeks and are yet to come up with anything.

I paid 460 for everything in the pics... I may have forgotten a few things... I have the prices and it was very fair for what I got. Also free shipping over 300 I think.

Moose, I will be when I can afford it! lol Seriously, I e-mailed Rob @ South Bay Tools a while back, and got his prices- the stuff I wanted was far cheaper than I can get it here, even after shipping... but upon giving him a list, two e-mails later, no response... Grrr!

Ironically I'm not in a position at the mo to buy much in the way of tools, as I'm taking a car yard to court... :(

Meh, it will sort itself soon, and then I can start shopping again
