Hey guys,

I came upon this site while surfing the web looking for garage ideas. I need a bigger space to work on my FuryIII (a wicked machine) and need a source for garage plans. Will build a 32x40 with heated floors. I have good info on heated floors systems but am looking for a way to heat the water. I don't want to dig the 300' to install a gasline from the house meter.

Anyway, I like the garage photos I see on this site, they are great! Can't wait for the 5 foot drifts to melt off so I can get started. Seems like we get a snow storm every five days here in Colorado. Well, I'll spend the time planning the build.

What would cost more, the initial cost(and the long term) of a propane tank behind the garage or a weekend of digging and $500 bucks of 1" gas pipe.

Then there is Electric which I have no knowledge of. But here in the midwest Electricity costs are Way up.

Welcome to GJ. What year Fury are you working on and where is Peyton? I get to CO frequently but I have never heard of Peyton. :headscrat

I have radiant heat in the floor of our barn. The boiler uses propane to heat the water. Works good but I would switch to natural gas in a heartbeat if it was available. Unless you have rock at the surface, I would try to bring gas to the garage if possible.

You guys make a good point, natural gas is cheaper to run than propane. Will get some numbers together from the rental agency on trencher unit.

Peyton is about 15 miles east of Colorado Springs on Woodmen Rd. What brings you to CO so often, skiing?

Even though neither of us is from CO, my wife and I both have relatives that live there (in Granby, Glenwood Springs and Denver suburbs). Some of them we even enjoy visiting. :bounce:
