Hi folks,
I just picked up an old but clean Campbell Hausfeld VT618301 compressor to replace a compressor that was stolen recently.
This VT618301 has the cheapie plastic air filter housing that is attached with 2 bolts, but I can see threads in the cylinder head, presumably 1/2" NPT?
The platic housing is warped and won't stay shut properly, so I'd like to replace it with one of the metal "Solberg" style filters like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Air-Compres...ultDomain_0&hash=item3cc4ee123a#ht_1071wt_945
Is it safe to assume this will work? Also, do I need the 4 inch, or should I save a few bucks and just get the 3.25" version?
Also, is there anything else I need? Some of the filters I've seen in pictures of complete compressors appear to have a "snorkel" on them, but the linked one just has a hole in the outer half of the housing.
Thanks!
Chris
