Just recently bartered for a Proto box and some excellent and/ or like new condition sets, and some other items.

Looks like a nice setup for sure. Some of those look like brand new.

That's a great haul, jealous of the saltus style set, very much. Nice to see Martin also, not enough of it on this board. The laminated ratcheting wrenches, kinda obsolete these days, but you'll find dissenters to that opinion as well. Enjoy the tools!

Due to seasonal work and concerned about spending "money" during the winter months, I parted ways with a 1911 to obtain these items.

That's a nice set of tools. I'd rather have the tools than the gun, personally.

Newly acquired Proto stuff to me

Kimber [emoji17] hated to do it. But really liked the tools included.

I think you both did well. He got a quality 1911 and you ended up with a bunch of excellent quality tools. I love Proto tools by the way!

That's a great collection of quality tools. I don't see a poor quality item among them!

Don't worry about those laminated ratcheting wrenches being 'obsolete'. I'd much rather have those, than a set of Taiwanese ratcheting combination wrenches that just happen to be fashionable.

All costly stuff to replace too!

As to selling a 1911, well my views are probably skewed by being in the U.K. where such things are hard to come by and getting harder, but it still sounds like a good deal!

+1 I have some Proto wrenches (standard and the I-beam ratcheting) that have been pretty good to me along with some screwdrivers and pliers and a few odds and ends. Pretty good stuff.

Those Allen brand wrenches look like the Masterforce wrenches they sell at Menards (probably same manufacturer). I was considering getting a metric set just to keep in the car.

thanks for the follow up info.

For some reason my info isn’t correct and I’m unable to update it at this point. I’m 43, a concrete finisher by trade. Resident of St.Louis, MO area. Along with the items pictured there’s more miscellaneous stuff consisting of screwdrivers, dead blow hammers, some air tools, files, things of that nature. I was told it was previously used by the powerhouse maintenance of closed down Corp.
