Yes they work but you have to sand the plastic on the end of the tool to the correct angle.
Currently using nextec batteries with the MasterForce led light and usb/12v socket power adapter.

Thanks, that 12v light looks nearly identical to the Nextec. I see where the angle that the battery connects is different. I assume the masterforce battery would also have to be modified to fit the Nextec.

I really like the Nextec line. I should have bought a spare drill when I had a chance. The drill is surprisingly powerful for its size.

You can buy the drill as a bare, tool only purchase on Amazon, or as a whole kit with the battery and charger. And I still see them in my local Sears store too.

They still sell them if you look around. I have a bunch of the Nextec tools also. I like them because they fit the need for when I don't need my more powerful, heavier cordless tools.

I just bought one of the Nextec LED lights that has pivots where the bulbs are. I bought it as a tool only purchase at my local Sears store. It was on sale, and I got it for $10.00.

Are any of the Nextec tools worth picking up? I saw several at the local hometown store, drill, impact, jigsaw, batteries, multi-tool. I am guessing sears is not going to continue with the Nextec line as no new tools have been coming out. (sears is also struggling to stay alive)

I use my drill, impact, jigsaw and light all the time. Way lighter than my dewalt 20v stuff making them great around the house. I love to get my hands on a second drill and a right angle impact if i can ever find them.

Hello, I'm a newbe. This is my first post. I'm trying to find a reasonable way to keep my nextec tools supplied with batteries. Does anyone know if the 12volt Milwaukee batteries are interchangeable? I've asked a few vendor and they didn't know and didn't seem interested in finding out. I just bought a (made in China) battery, CameronSino brand, on eBay and so far it's working fine but i have only used it a short time . So the jury is still out. Thanks

No, they are not interchangeable. Why would Milwaukee reuse the nextec form factor? They want people to buy their stuff, not keep using old craftsman

M12 tools are so much better that it is worth the upgrade though. I've given away all of my nextec and now have a bunch of m12, although not a jigsaw yet

The nextec and the m12 have a similar overall shape, looks like the m12 is a shade taller with a small protrusion. As expected, the electrical contacts are in completely different places.

I couldn’t tell you if anything were different inside or not.
