I picked up a few of these drivers when they went on sale a while back. When I first picked it up, I noticed how loose the forward/reverse switch was and eventually learned to accept it. Over time this issue began to annoy me, as the slightest bump would change its direction. I had a few of them, so I tried deforming the switch area with a torch to give it a tighter fit. That didn't work out so well. I had previously tried unsuccessfully to open it, until a few days ago when I said "#@$% it" and manhandled the thing apart. The two sections were stuck together towards the battery area where they were siliconed to the circuit board. Use care if you attempt this.

You can see the glued/siliconed area in this pic:

There is a tab that the forward/reverse switch rides on that is Circled in red.
I cut up a soda can and cut a out a small square from the aluminum to make a shield to protect the rest of the plastic from being melted. I then heated the tab with a heat gun and bent it slightly toward where the switch rides. Here is a before and after shot:

After re assembly, the switch now feels snug and performs just like a normal switch. I am back to loving this driver again. Hope this helps.

Great Mod and thanks for posting a great write-up. I have one of these and it definitely is an annoyance. If I start using it more regularly I will definitely follow your lead.
