After searching for my first house for over two years, I finally closed on a cape in central New Hampshire on November 30th!

It has really good bones, on a nice piece of land, a single car under, and a beautiful detached 26x26 garage with loft space above it. Fortunately the house seems unmolested so I am not anticipating uncovering any hacked projects, but who knows.

The detached was built in 2006 with electrical but that is where it ended. It is not insulated or sheet rocked yet which I am actually thankful for. First project this spring will be to put a dedicated sub panel out there instead of running everything from my main panel in the house. Then will be to get it insulated, sheet rocked and some form of temperature control.

I have very big plans for the house and the detached and I am sure I will be looking to most of you for insight and opinions.

Thanks for stopping in!

Congratulations on the new house! looks like a great place. one question, where are you going to put the cars. [emoji16] Once a shop starts in there it's all over.. [emoji106]

That's a good question... between the girlfriend and I there are 3 cars and 3 motorcycles... sooo I'm sure it will get interesting once we start the projects. For now we pack em in!

I have been following your thread since May of 2016! You have already done a lot of things that I am interested in doing so I may be reaching out every once and a while for advise or recommendations.

Congrats on the purchase! Looks like you have a great layout. I have a 26 x 34 in Southern NH that was at just about the same starting point as yours is. Take a look at my thread if you want some ideas!
