I am restoring an old NIGARA burring tool which is a special form of bead roller specifically designed to bend a small 90*edge up on the side of a piece of sheet metal. One of the wheels is damaged and needs to be replaced, but I would really like to make a new set of wheels specifically for the operation I have in mind which requires bending past 90*. The wheels should not be a problem, but the original wheels screw onto the shafts and use, what appears to be, a 15/32 x 14 TPI thread to screw onto. Just a little bigger than a 7/16 - 14 and a little smaller than a 12mm x 1.75. The OD of the male thread is about .456" and the wheel screws loosely onto a 7/16 - 14 bolt. I'm guessing that the machine was built during a time when it was common place for manufacturers to use proprietary threads as a form of competition to help keep others from cloning their parts (like I am trying to do). Any body out there know of a source for a tap? I really don't want to make one if I can help it. Any body know of a source for parts for this type of machine? There is no P/N or model number on the machine or any of the parts, but it does appear in an ancient catalog I found on line as a NIAGARA "Superior Large Burr" which right now feels like it's in my underwear.
