Price for this 3/4" drive General Service Set set on Snap-on's website with shipping & tax is 3,370.72.

Picked it up on EBAY for $1250.00 last week. Listed as "used" but looks new. The largest socket (2-3/8) is as big as a coffee cup. This set weighs 85lbs.

Not exactly sure what i'll do with a socket the size of a coffee cup but you just never know;)

Congrats on the 3/4" set. It's the best you can buy IMO. I love mine but don't use it much. I find the sockets get used more on the hydraulic press more than on the end of a ratchet! LOL!

You never know, now that you have one you might finds ways to use it.

Good deal at 1250, if you need it... do you work on buses, or heavy equipment, or something of that sort?

I would say its an okay deal I passed on a set of 3/4 drive SO sockets up to 2 1/2" with Proto and Armstrong drive tools last year for $300.

Big industrial stuff can be had pretty cheaply at auctions and off CL so I would of waited until one came along for a more reasonable price. Also what are you doing with it? 3/4" drive is pretty much the standard size we use at work and almost all of the $40 chinese sets we have are still holding up fine.

That's an awesome set! It makes me drool to see it there! If I could afford it, I would even pay retail off the truck. Congrats on a great deal.

That said, I have the equivalent Craftsman set which I probably paid 400 all-in for. That was probably 5 years ago. They don't get tremendous use, but when they do, usually I use them with an impact wrench and they hold up very well.

As another poster said, they do get more use on the hydraulic press than removing large fasteners.

Nah... I'm a prepper - one of those guys with 1200 cans of Beanie Weenie's in the basement.

I'm getting these "just in case".

Hopefully I'll never need to use them;)

I'm not sure what a "Beanie Weenie" is, but by the sound of it, I would not want to be stuck in a bunker with you and those 1200 cans.

That's a sweet set! Great deal! Years ago I was looking through a tool flyer debating on which overseas 3/4" drive set I was going to buy. Never knew when I was going to need it but wanted one. I think at the time the cheapest one was about $159. So I kept looking really wanting a USA set. Than this retired garage owner /mechanic said he would hook me up with a set for $100. I thought what was I going for $100??
Than he showed up with this>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Of course I offered him more $ but he wouldn't take it.....

Eventually I'll add some more sockets. It's a 17 piece William's that goes from 1 1/16 to 2".
