This is a project started back in late 2004 that was recently completed. I'll have more pictures on my website in the future. Nice collection of cars in a museum like setting (4000 sq ft underground garage as part of a 21,000 sq ft home).

View of the motorcourt from the driveway going down to the lower museum garage. There are 2 garages for the daily drivers (S65, CLK63, Q7 and others) and a dedicated auto detailing garage. The motorcourt is accessed via porte cochere.

The turntable is controllable via remote from within the cars. An absolute necessity to get these cars into their designated spots. There's also a 2 stage exhaust fan to clear the room of fumes when cars are being run in the garage.

Some of the collection. The F40 and F50 are still at the old garage and the AMG Mercedes (S65 and CLK63) are kept upstairs as daily drivers.

What is really impressive is that the home and garages (3 garages above ground and the museum below) were literally built into the side of a mountain. There was extensive blasting and over 700 tandem truckloads of stone were removed from the site.

All that beauty, all that money - and they didn't even try to dress up the garage door tracks.

Preposterous!

Scott

There was "some attempt" but the doors will be redone at some point in the near future. The owner was also talking about adding a memorabilia room off the main lower garage. SD

Wow....After looking at your garage, I feel like doing flips like Jake Blues (The Blues Brothers) when he was in the church. "I've seen the light." That is truely amazing.

Well, it's lacking.
Everybody knows it ain't a proper garage/shop until it's bigger than the house and the OL is pissed off because of it...........the guy's a wimp.

I've got plenty of pics but they just eat up my bandwidth allowance for the month. There's a few more scattered around my site. The lower garage was engineered for access by a flatbed tow truck in the event any cars had to be taken to the dealer. No workshop yet but there is a detailing garage.

That is by far one of the coolest garages I have ever laid my eyes on. I guess it will have to be another thing that goes on my “ I want list”. This list is getting bigger and more expensive everyday I’m a member here. UGH!!! I hate you all. :lol_hitti:fawk:

It is a WOW - but whose is it - original poster just said it was a "project".:headscrat
He obviously doesn't "work" on those cars - why build a shop? :confused:Maybe somewhere for the the mechanic/detailer to keep his "tools".

The original poster designs garages for a living. Check out ultimategarage.com.

Very impressive for sure. Any pictures further away showing perspective / size / scale?

Very nice indeed.

I had to remove some pics and downsize the rest to make sure I don't run out of bandwidth by the end of the month. I had a page with larger images hidden on my site which someone wrongly posted to some other forums using 10gb of my 20gb monthly bandwidth in 2 days. I may have to pull down the images here until I get through the rest of May.

Why not host them on Flickr, for the purposes of the forum ? Doesn't impact your copyright status, if you select the option to retain your rights, and you'll probably garner some free publicity. And more pics are always good
