I subscribe to an email list for estate sales etc, but being out in the boonies very few are local. Today I'm up at sparrow fart & see one is listed 3 miles away. Hit the ATM & headed over there at 8.30 for a 9am opening time. Six people ahead of me, one of whom is known as the ToolMan, the fucker, I hate him.
Anywho, he makes straight for a small portable toolbox in the garage & I call dibs on a 1950's Craftsman stack. Pay for it, load up & head home.

Pulled two drawers full of **** out so I can lift it into my truck. Get home & start pulling all the **** out of it. That's when I found this in the bottom:

(edit, it's a 3 1/2in)

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Probably gonna flip it all.

Around here there are four of us who all fit that description, luckily three of us are friends & trade stuff all the time, but this guy isn't *one of us*

Pot calling the kettle black, no? :headscrat What about the guy that possibly wanted that for his garage to restore and use. To him aren't you just another "Fucker"?

If I keep it, it will get restored & used. already started knocking dents out of it.

If I don't keep it, it will go to a friend who will restore & use it.

The guy this morning doesn't use it OR sell anything as far as we can tell. :confused:

We've tried to buy stuff off him in the past without any success. His widow will be making out like a bandit when he pops his clogs.

If you aren't going to keep the vise, I'm pretty sure it's the one that Red Leader has been questing after for several years. You might send him a PM and work out a deal...

(Edit, doesn't actually look like the one in his link. Still cool though!)

Been going through the immense pile of **** that was in the box. Probably enough nails/brads etc for pneumatic nailers to build a house.

This is an innie, not an outtie:

Really strange 1/2in drive doohicky. Spring keeps the two ends apart until you push on it & locks up as the thingies mesh together:
