well ill start at the beginning, a while back i bought a pile of tools off a guy getting out of the trade, so torque wrench, bp 3/8 impact gun, bp multimeter, tons of wrenches, ratchets etc etc, anyways amongst the tools there were quite a few SO snap ring pliers/ hose pliers/ battery terminal pliers, but they were rusted pretty bad, some so bad they wouldnt even budge with all my might.. i decided to pick up some evaporust to restore them to their former glory, i threw them all into a tub to sit ( decided to throw some of my misc sockets from my rack that also came in the lot of tools i had bought into the evaporust to clean them up, they were so badly rusted you could barely make out a size ) anyways they had been sitting in the stuff for 2 days now so i went to check on them tonight
i get to my moms and i inspect the pliers and stuff and am amazed with the difference, cleaned them up with some shop towels and put them away, then i grab the sockets and give them a scrub, and lucky for me these sockets are all nice old SO/ SK/ and proto
not a whole lot of them maybe 8 sockets total but they just made my purchase more worthwhile, not sure on how old the sockets are but the snap on ones are underlined and made in canada ( im a bit of a noob when it comes to snap on )
anyways just thought id share todays story! only have one picture atm and its of one of the ring pliers, all cleaned up, this is one of the ones that were rusted so bad i couldnt move them, they looked pitted with rust, now they are as free as a new set
thanks for viewing, Mike
