Nike floor jack won't stay up

I have a old Nike hydraulic 1 1/2ton floor jack model 302HD. My jack pumps up, but won't stay up. There's no exterior leaks, and the ram comes down quickly. Anyone know what will cause it to fail? And does anyone know where I can get information or a schematic on this model?

Many guys here have posted about trouble keeping their "jack" up, it is common so they say. There is a member here named Hiball (IIRC) search out the threads he has posted good info there.

Your main seal on the ram is probably shot.

I just bought a blue point ya1707 3.5t it is a beast it makes a craftsman 3t look like a toy.

Same jack is rebranded Blackhawk, omega, and Mac made by shinn fu and parts are readily available and cheap for years to come.

Check it out if your in the market for around $335 you can have a great low profile heavy duty jack with quick lift.

Same company makes Hein Warner and Snap on by the way.
