I guess thanks to covid nitrile gloves are rare and expensive.

Does anyone have a source for these at a reasonable price? Looking for like 4-7mil. (Bulk is ok)

I used to get them from harbor freight.....and Hf prices are still pretty reasonable. However, I like to order a couple dozen boxes at a time and Hf now lists these as “in store only”, so they’re no longer an option.

Amazon has been the best bet lately. HF sometimes has them in stock but they’re still close to $20 a box. I think I paid $70 for 4 boxes of some 8mil and 13mil nitrile gloves.

I know a guy... Ive got cases of a variety of Microflex gloves, selling case qty down to singles. Like Integras, those might fit your 8mil needs.. nothing thicker than that. Ive got an ebay store.

I can hook you up delivered ( think Microflex gloves ) for less than Hazard Fraught prices.

Gloves are literally flying out the door,... as Im blowing XL gloves down the road, got to thinking today, " will I have any for work this year ???? " LOL !

Whats more strange that I cant put my finger on, 3 of 4 shipments are going to Texas... just since the storm. A guy called me on Friday and asked to buy every last box.. from Houston...

I get some from food supply places online. Last time was from atbbq.com and howtobbqright.com

It's been a bit but they might have them

I use the Harbor Freight 7mil until they raised the prices. Now I use Global Glove from Northern Tool I usually find them on sale so when I do I stock up.

A few months ago I was out in the garage and couldn't find any on Amazon. The local Napa store was the only place that had any. Normal pricing also.

Last time I went to Harbor Freight they were out, that was several months ago. I got some from Menards, Venom brand I think, they seem to be a little sturdier than the Harbor Freight gloves.

The Law of Supply and Demand guarantees that nitriel gloves will be available but probably not cheap until pandemic is history.

I went into HF, and they had plenty of 7 mil- for $20. I think I paid $6.99 for the last box. I like the 7's, but I have a box of 5's to use up, then I'll decide if they're worth the price, or if they go back down.

I have been buying blue Vulcan brand gloves in-store at Costco. Only 4.3 mils but I like them every bit as much as my black midknight gloves which are 4.7 mils. I think they are about $12.00/box (150 gloves).

( to all, not LS83 specifically )If you want either thicker textured nitrile gloves, or just higher quality gloves, don't overlook ebay. If youre paying $20 for Chyna junk @ the HF, you can do much better and can get it delivered in your mailbox for the same or less on Fleabay.

As much as I hate ebay, I still shop the hell out of it, for deals on quality stuff for allot less.

The Kirkland gloves are a good value, but blow if your actually flipping wrenches with them on they are just too thin, they are exam gloves, and exam gloves where never made for commercial/industrial purposes.

Harbor Freight and Walmart have had plenty every time I've been there lately. Seems like the big shortage was the second half of 2020, now stores are slowly getting stocked back up.

My harbor freight glove seem to deteriorate when used in simple chemicals like brake cleaner, carb cleaner. I bought lock and lube glove much better quality. They are a flourent green color. I would se9 a picture but I am 30 miles from the shop.

Why disposable? I switched to Maxiflex gloves when disposable became difficult to find, and excluding a very few, specific jobs, I vastly prefer them for everything.

Go to Tractor Supply, Rural King, Farm and Fleet, or any other one of these one off country type stores and go straight to their livestock section, specifically where they have medication. You’ll always find Amish Mechanic gloves, at least that’s what I call them - you know the gloves that you use to work on cows, that go from your fingertips all the way up to your shoulder. Yes, you might look a little funny but these are great for oil changes. Also, you can just cut them down to size if you don’t need all that length. Anyway, a box of these is pretty reasonable.

I purchase 4-mil nitrile gloves for our lab (chemical industry) regularly. Before the 'rona, I was paying $69 per case (10 boxes of 100 each) for all sizes. The last purchase I made (~a month ago), the cost was $240 for a case, and that was after searching and finding most suppliers were running ~$250 per case. Crazy...

So I read somewhere, there is supposed to be a national, what to call it,.. " reserve " of 4.5 billion gloves. I think it was gloves, not cases.

Anyhow, the reserve for all intents and purposes is EMPTY. Like a couple million.

Im guessing there is the redirection of materials and resources to keep the Rona and related medical folks happy, and the non-medical gloves are being serviced when and where is convenient.

Supply and demand.

Talking to a guy last week that is a wholesaler of PPE, he buys gloves by the trailer load. He was telling me that Ansell or Microflex has him scheduled out 6 months for his next shipment.

I think if your buying real medical grade exam gloves, the market is even drier than " mechanics " gloves.

As of last week the HF in my area was fully stocked up on all their gloves, masks and eye protection. But.... the prices are pretty much double from what we were paying pre-scamdemic.

now, if they could end the shortage on blue 56" US General tool boxes.

I got some 7 mil from Harbor Freight a couple weeks ago. They had them on "sale" for about $16 per box.

I miss the days of $10 per box but better than nothing. When the price eventually drops, I'll be stocking up in bulk.

Sams is about the best price out there right now. The gloves I bought there last week were nitrile and you got two boxes with 200 gloves per box so you have 200 pairs total unlike most boxes that are only a 100 gloves or 50 pairs total.
