Nitrite gloves

I'm down to my last box of this stuff. I bought a box of 10 (100gloves in each) about 3 years ago off eBay. Lasted me that long. I never had many issues. I think I got them for $4 a box after shipping.

The blue ones never gave me issues. The white and clear ones that were non- nitirle were just horrible.

Time for me to order some more. Any suggestions on where? I see my local HF has some in the $8 range. Not sure if all gloves are made equal. My gloves didn't state how thick or anything.

+1 on the Costco nitrile rubber gloves. I wish their larger size was just a bit larger, but no complaints about performance.

Napa has them on sale not sure of the quality but I do know that they come 100 to a box vs.50 for hf

Nitrile is a chemical. I prefer to go with the heavy mil latex, because it's natural rubber.

Also, I've never found a nitrile glove that could old up like my latex ones do. AND the latex ones go about 4 inches higher up my arm, which I also like.

I've only been there a few times but I've only seen the 5 pair for $10 deal. They seem to made to last a longer. I just want disposable ones.

Put a pair on, change the oil and throw them away. Or put one a single glove, pick up dog poop and trash everything altogether.

So HF is 50 pairs for $8. Yikes!

No the 7mil and 9mil are 50 gloves so 25 pair,the 5 mil light blue ones are 50 pair

This makes no sense, I gotta say. Natural rubber is a "chemical" too, of course, it's just made by a tree. Many of the allergies people have to "latex" are due to trace proteins in the natural product.

Nitrile rubber and natural rubber latex have different resistance levels to different chemicals. For many oil/grease/solvent combinations nitrile will probably be better. Many chemical labs (such as the one I used to manage) will have a range of glove types and selection criteria for which gets used against what.

I like the HF Nitrile gloves. I usually stock up on 6 boxes or so when I have a coupon handy. If I'm doing a brake job, I go through about 1 pair per wheel (sometimes 2). For the price, I really don't care. My hands stay clean and the gloves don't make me break out in a rash. The Costco ones handled a little more abuse, but to be honest, I wasn't so impressed with them that they were worth the extra cash. Gloves are disposable, so go with what's cheap.

I just bought a box at HF yesterday. 5mil, 100 gloves per box. On sale for 7.29, used 25% off coupon and walked out the door $6.11. And a free tape measure...

I got a box of snapon gloves with my student discount came out to like 7 bucks for 100... I haven't got to use them yet but it's the powdered nitrile ones... Any input on these?

Glove companies will send you free samples so you can make an informed choice.

I am working through five samples I got from Microflex.

I used to use nitrile when I worked in a ****** shop. They held up better to the mineral spirits used to clean parts. Now that I'm back in a normal shop I switched to the diamond flex latex gloves. Their like $15 a box but the shop pays for em. Go through a box of 100 in a week or two.

I've become so used to having gloves all the time I can hardly work without them now.
