nitrocat 1250K question

I am sure it doesn't matter how you hook it up but wanted a bit of confirmation. In my new nitrocat 1250K manual to connect whip hose directly to the tool then plug and coupler at end of whip hose. I don't use a whip hose(don't want couplers dragging over paint on my car our cars I work on), can I install plug into the 1250K like normal? I use all Milton V high flow couplers and 3/8" hose with 3/8" npt threads. There is no restrictive 1/4" threads in my entire system.

There's no reason you can't put the fitting, swivel or not, directly on the gun. A lot of people prefer a whip over using a swivel for increased access in tight areas.

Exactly what I thought. If I could find a "whip" in 3/8" with 3/8" NPT and longer than 2ft I would get one. No such luck, they all have 1/4" NPT unless you go to 1/2".

It will work, I have a 1200K (and love it) and a Snap On MG725. Now while it will work, you sound like your are doibg what i do, all my air power tools have 3/8 air fittings, I have two air lines off my compressor, the 1/4 line is strictly for die grinders, cut off wheels, air sawzall and other lower pressure tools. My air guns and air ratchets all wear 3/8 tur flow fittings. Big up tick in power. Now back to the whip hose. I do not use one becuase every whip I have looked at has a 1/4" connector where it goes into the swivel socket end that you attach to the tool. So right there it nixes every advantage of running a dedicated 3/8 air system. Which yes *****. I don't use them.

exactly! I have a dedicated line right before regulator for 1250K (if it needs it), cut off tool ect.

I read somewhere, believe it was miltons site, that impacting air tools should have a whip hose to cut down on coupler wear. Probably more important on a air hammers but i put a whip on my nitrocat after seeing that.

My local air compressor shop sells air hose by the foot with those self locking hose barb fittings, they dont require hose clamps. I made my own 3/8 whip hose this way.
