That's a cool box. Don't see those much. Not sure on the 300 asking price.

How's the sign coming?

It slowed down since we have been peppered with a plethora of snow storms this winter, and my dad's shop is over an hour away from my house. All the letters are painted and the sign itself is in primer, but I haven't had time to get to the shop and lay down the base coat. I promise to upload some pics of it done shining away once the weather breaks.

As for the boxes, I would pay about $250 because I like old stuff you just don't see too much of anymore. He/she also has a 50's upper box for sale for $100.

Looks like it is just the top box with the tray? Is that a good deal in that condition?

I thought so at first as well (and thought he was bat sh!t crazy), but after reading the ad again, it looks like he itemized the boxes as a K-33A red-cap as well as a KT-1 tote. It then says $300 for the pair at the end of the ad.

That belongs to a member on here. The top box is very cool, but pretty small and not very practical. $300 is a bit much IMHO for just the box and the tray. That is collector terrority. The bottom box, KR-300 roll a bench is not included, or so the ad reads.

I have a Snap On K-33A Red Cap and KT-1 Tote.

The K-33A is only listed in the 38 industrial catalog and 39 standard catalog.

The KT-1 tote is mentioned all the way back to the 1929 catalog. No idea how old it is. The newer KT-1 catalog listings (if you can call 70+ years ago as newer) list a -W for wrinkle coat and -R for red. This one is neither, so I think it is an earlier vintage model.

This is a very cool and unique box with the lid design. The paint is very faded as expected for being very old.. but the box is as solid as the day it was made.

$300 for the pair.

Are we reading the same ad or am I missing something. Sounds like top and bottom.

I contacted the guy. Only the top box and tote inside it are being sold for 300. Trying to figure out what the bottom is going for.

All due respect, missing something. The description is ONLY for the KT-1 Tote and the K-33A. But I agree, since he has the bottom rool a bench in the pic, he should maybe add/clarify that it is NOT part of the sale. Also, do you call a little top box with a tote "a pair"? They belong together...I think:confused:

Update, he will accept a good offer on the bottom box, but it isnt actually listed for sale. No idea on the price he wants, I have to make an offer.
