No disconnect on shop

My fuse panel doesn’t have a main shutoff only individual circuit breakers. I know I could replace the entire panel. Are their other options?

I betcha one of those breakers is your main. My sub boxes look like there's no main, but two of the regular bays are ******* by the main.

If it has six or fewer breakers a main isn't required. Take the cover off and post a picture of the interior.

You titled this thread "No Disconnect on Shop" Is the panel in the shop a subpanel? The main panel would have a breaker that would disconnect the shop subpanel if that were the case.

Is this an actual fuse panel, or breakers?

If breaker, how many are in the box?

House or garage?

If garage, is it attached or detached to the house?

The OP stated the fuse panel has breakers which makes no sense. Guessing it is a breaker panel. More information is needed as others have noted. The brand of the panel would be good to know along with the rest.

And if the OP's panel is not already set up this way, he may be able to get a breaker hold down and use this approach.
