Just noticed that if I look at this site without being logged in, the Free Parking section is missing. Is that my browser or a site thing? Seems an odd thing to hide from nonregistered users.

I wouldn't call it a perk or a privilege. It's more like the dangerous watering hole at the end of a road that's not marked on the map. If I had to guess I'd guess @Ryan doesn't want Free Parking, which he barely tolerates, at best, to be the reason or even part of the reason people register. It's not a bad philosophy. In other words, if after being here a few weeks or months new users make their inevitable way there from more productive and core value threads, so be it. But advertising it as an entry point would seem to be inviting potential trouble.
Free Parking can only be seen while logged in.
