Hello from the Midwest. My name is Ben (tricky I know) I don't have a house, or garage, cause I'm not quite done with college yet, but I have a nasty habit of planning things in advance and have been lurking on here ever since I traced the Track One shop build thread back here. Lots of knowledgeable people and good information so seems like a decent place to pick up ideas about how to build it right on the first try when the time comes. Looking forward to learning from you all.

Welcome from an retired guy in the midwest with a hobby shop. Get a good job not working on things for a living, so when you get home at night you can tinker in your shop !

No joke. I did a short stint as a general service technician (oil change, alignments, other misc jobs where a set of hands was needed) back in Northern Virginia and it turned me off of the idea of working with my hands for a living. Its something I enjoy and want to KEEP it that way. A degree in computer science should keep me from needed to revert to that career path luckily.

Which part of the midwest are you in? Western Indiana for the time being for me.

I wish I had pursued something like an IT job. Instead, I got into the meat and potatoes of general repair. I don't recommend it for anyone.

Im in North Central Illinois, in the cornfields (literally on a farm). I used to live in Indy when I was kid, Im familiar with your part of Indiana.
