I was under the impression that Lowe's was stocking Knipex pliers, but at the Lowe's I was at in Abilene this afternoon, they had nada, just Kobalt and Channellock pliers.

I did buy a 16 oz Estwing hammer made in the USA, and at WalMart I bought a battery hydrometer, made in Springfield, MO for 88 cents.

I replaced the failed lawnmower battery with a new one under JD warranty for less than $30, made sure all my other batteries were fully charged for the winter with my Snap on BC4200, checked them all with the Leica tester, all showed good, bought a cheap NAPA hydrometer, with the floating balls, and on all 4 batteries, not one ball floated, not really pissed off, as I know the batteries are good, I guess I will take it back and ask them to see if they can get the balls to come alive on one of their batteries.

At my Lowes, they are in a different Section than the other tools.... They are near the electrical tools.

Lowes here has Knipex in the electrical section. I don't believe there is a Klein tool in the store here.

They have a few of everything at the local Lowe's. Some of each in the electrical section. Some random ones marked clearance with a dollar or so knocked off the regular price...

ahh, I was hoping from the title that they came to their senses and pulled out of the big boxes.

can't stay in the big boxes long until that happens, I used to be excited to see Bessey German clamps at lowes, until they all started saying china on them instead...

Just wait until they don't have a country of origin labeled and your supposed to assume its still Germany like WERA has done over the last year.

I know there is a space issue with a lot of this placement, but don't you think they would sell more if they put them in the general tool area? Maybe there is a vendor issue-
the other pliers supplier does not want them in the tool area, or maybe Knipex wants them in the electrical area so as to maintain a 'premium' position?

Which clamps ??? The steel ones ? the cast ones ? C-clamp ? plastic clamps ??

edit: ok forget about it, Lowes has a complete different lineup (Bench vises etc.) and also Bessey USA seems to offer other products too....
