I Just Ordered This Bad Boy!

Its a Bucket Top Electric Airless Sprayer with pick up tube, fluid hose, and spray gun. i am more than a little excited about it. I got mine from the company i work for (our cost was much better than Home Depot). i have used this before on a garage i used to work at, and it was really easy to use.

I just bought a new house that needs completely re-primed in every room so i will just throw up some contact film over the windows, and cover everything i dont want primed. i will have some pics posted while i am working (mid December) and i will time the entire priming job from prep to finish to show how quickly it goes.

i also got one of the pressure roller attachments for the color. i havent used one of those yet, but i am sure it will beat the hell out of a paint tray.

We repainted the whole outside of our house with the airless sprayer and the pressure roller attachment. It is awesome. Just make sure all the fittings are tight and don't load too much paint in the roller otherwise it will throw paint while rolling. Once you get used to it, it goes really fast.

the only thing I'd add about using a sprayer is to make sure plaster dust is cleaned off new drywall. The previous owner of my house did all the drywall himself and used spray primer. I'm sure it went well but there are areas where the primer didn't stick simply because of drywall dust. Painting, as we all know, is 75% prep but I find the actual physical rolling of primer to really do a better job of adhering to the wall. fwiw, my 2 cents..
