JNC makes a mini one also. The JNC 318. I have one.

I hear mixed reviews on these.
Do the mini ones like this work as well as the big booster packs (like a JnC)?

No clear answer since it depends on a few variables and whether you sized it for your application (which is made more difficult by exaggerated marketing fluff). Here are two recent previous discussions regarding these. There are more as well as more YouTube videos than you can count.

JNC 318 is about $100 and it’s twin the Clore ES580 is a little less. Both are comparable to the GB50. I agree the claims seem inflated for some of these lithium ion jumpers. My JNC 318 would not immediately start a Nissan Frontier with a totally dead battery in -5F weather. I tried again after waiting 5 minutes and it still would not start. Maybe if I waited 10 minutes the result would have been different. So I picked up a GB150 during Black Friday for about $173. It is at least 3x the size of the little ones and way more powerful.

Comparison test of 8 jump starters, including new supercapacitor car battery jump starter made by Autowit, lithium ion jump starters, Harbor Freight Viking, Noco Boost GB 40, Sanrock, Topvision, DB Power, Audew, and a sealed lead acid jump starter made by Duracell.

Noco Boost GB 40 did not perform that well. Audew brand performed best.

I’d like to see the same test with the GB50 and Clore ES580/JNC318.

Who knows about the slant of YouTube tests. This has come up before on GJ.

I have had good luck with my Noco units, including a GB40.

They will not jump a stone dead battery. None of them will I would think.

If it has a little juice, which I have had to do with a quick charge with my 3 amp battery tender, it has started the engine for me. My G40 has done this with my 5.7 boat engine a number of times.

My guess is that none of these will do this.

This guy used a GB40 to start several dead-batteried cars. Don't recall the temps, but it appears to be pretty cold.
