Hey people,

I have a GB70 jump pack that I bought 2 years ago and put it in the trunk of our car. My wife parks it outside in the driveway and in an uncovered stall at work. I usually check the charge status monthly so I checked it yesterday and noticed the case at the LED light end is bulging. Anyone else experienced this? I took it out of the trunk and it now sits in the garage. The instructions say don't store it above 140 degrees F but not sure how hot the trunk gets. last time I checked it was 125 degrees. Thanks

They responded and said to dispose of it according to state and local laws. Nothing about returning it to them since it's not under warranty.

Jeez, thanks for posting this. I have one of these I keep in my trunk. I just went and checked mine and so far so good, no issue but now I know to check on it more often.

If you want a quality lithium jumper, buy one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07212VPNG/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Do you own one of these? Had great success using it?

Reason I ask is because If my noco ends up failing I'll be in the market for something else, but I am weary of the one you just linked due to, according to fakespot, it having tons of fake reviews and an adjusted rating of 1.5 stars.

Our engine has profiled the reviewer patterns and has determined that there is high deception involved

Damn dude, that ***** :(
I'm really paranoid about the one I have now, I keep mine in my trunk, I live in Texas, so it does get hot, but if I can't keep it in the car then there is no point in having it :wtf:

Wow, where did you store it? I'd like to know if it's an inherent issue with the lithium battery or you just can't store it above a certain temperature which I believe it's 125 degrees F.

I have the regular JNC 660 (office) and 770 (shop). I took all the NOCOs out of each vehicle (3). Just tried to order the Chlore Lithium jump pack and Amazon shows no shipping to Hawaii. The Schumacher Battery-less can be shipped here though.

Its around that temperature. I bought the GB150 last year. It lives under the seat of my truck. We had a week of single digit temps last winter, used it twice. This summer we had a week of high 90s-100, it still lived under the seat.

Because of this thread, I went out and got it to check on it. According to the LEDs, it's between 75-100% charged. I haven't charged it since I bought it 9 months ago. So far, I'm happy.

You can't ship loose LION batteries to Hawaii. You can ship ones installed in products. I'm really not sure what difference it makes, but a lot of folks don't read the fine print and will not ship to Hawaii. I spent weeks trying to find someone online to sell me one.

If you are on the major islands Costco has a nice one. It has served me well with my POS 4runner. I think it was 80 bucks. I used it to jump off the 4runner for DEAD multiple times. The battery was bad and my plug in charger wouldn't even turn it over. I also used it as the power for the truck, when the alternator crapped out last month.
