Started garage floor project several weeks ago. Floor was in rough shape, a lot of grease/rust stains. Started with degreaser, scrubbed and rinsed 3/4 times.

Rented diamabrush from home depot and grinded the floor...took about 4-5 hours for a 528 sq foot garage. Park my cars in the two bay garage. After diamabrush, I acid etched the sides/around poles the brush could not get to. Then rinsed thoroughly another 3/4 times. Used leaf blower to get out any remaining dust, etc..

Purchased Nohr-S garage kit from Legacy. The kit arrived within a week and just finished this past weekend. It's three coats - primer, Nohr-S tinted (gray) and a final coat of Nohr-S clear.

The primer adhered well. The second coat was going on very well, until the 18" roller tool broke about a quarter of the way through (wish they provided better quality tools). Fortunately, I had a 9" roller and used it to complete the project, though it took my twice as long.

I'm very happy with the end result, though I do see some flashing on the sealer coat, probably due to the 9"roller. Other lessons learned was I only had about 45 minutes to complete the primer coat - I found towards the end the coating was binding up a bit and not covering the floor completely. Fortunately, the second coat covered all "holidays".

The kit provided 4 lbs of flakes, but I only used a bit less than 1 pound. I wanted a light flake and it came out great. Before/after pics attached.

Before/after pics attached. The after pics were taken at night and then in the AM.....which is why the color is brighter.

All things considered, I am very happy with the Nohr-S and believe it came out great. The only issue was the "flashing" of the sealer coat, but hope it goes away with time. I expect Nohr-S to last several years and will chime in again to see how it withstands car traffic, harsh winters, etc.

Excellent result and thank you for your patronage!
In regards to the roller-frame... we do offer a professional grade, aluminum frame, however most folks want a frame that gets the job done for a reasonable price. Glad it worked out.

Would you tell us more about the entire floor treatment in this picture please?

Looks like Acid Stained with a PolyUrea top coat?

What are all the steps normally required for a finished product like this?

OP, looks great. Can you detail your process a bit more?

Looks like the floor had a pretty flat (not broom) finish to begin with, confirm?

What grit on the Home Despot diamabrush?

You say the product was delivered in three cans, but you double coated the primer?

Any grinding arcs still showing through the finish?

When it gets wet will it have sufficient non-slip?

This was a reno. The original sealer was light-weight. It wore down fast allowing the stain to be marked. It was lightly sanded, stain touched up and NohrS was applied for a high-traffic sealer.

This same look could be captured using our DeltaDye Concrete Stain and NohrS Polyurea Coating Kit Clear!
