Hi folks, I have been lurking for a while but this is my first post.:)

I had a 75,000 BTU FSA Cayenne heater installed in my 3 car garage a couple months ago. Within a week it started making a bad noise from the fan (like the bearings were shot). The company that installed it replaced the fan blade and motor but it stll makes a lot of noise when it's on.:headscrat Sound is like the whole thing is vibrating badly but I can't find anything loose. Has anyone else experienced this kind of an issue and what did you do to resolve it?

Thanks, Bob

If you can grab the fan blades (with unit off/power disconnected) move it vertically and horizontally. If it has a significant amount of movement it could be a bad bearing causing excessive vibration and noise. Although these motors are oil-less, and it appears to be that the bearing is the case, you can squirt a small amount of penetrating oil at the front and/or rear bearing and see if it calms down, might last a bit longer.
