Non-skid floor wax on VCT!

I just decided (finally) to go with VCT in my garage/shop.

What I wanted to know is if anyone has used one of the various non-skid floor wax products that are available on the internet or somewhere else and how they work on a wet floor. Being an old fart, I am concerned about the VCT being slippery when snow melts off the cars and onto the floor in winter.

I am right there with ya. I would also like to now if that would be a better alt. to a non slip add. in a clear apoxy.

I know that non-slip waxes are used on VCT floors in retail stores....and they do work pretty well. I've managed stores in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska where water and snow are common and these waxes were used and never had a problem with slips or falls in the stores.

I'm sorry, I don't know the specific brands. I'd suggest checking with a local janitorial supply for recommendations.

Applying wax with a mop and not buffing will go a long ways to making the floor non-skid. I haven't had any problems with sawdust on the floor.
