I've been reading alot about using VCT for my garage floor. But how do you keep it from being slipery when wet?? Could you apply a non slip additive to a clear and cover it with the clear??? VCT seems a lot easier than painting especially if you want to use a checkerboard pattern.

I got a sample of the safety zone vct from armstrong and it is pretty neat stuff! It does cost, according to the book, about $4 per sq foot, vs the $1 for the smooth tiles. If you are interested go to their site and request a sample.

How non-slip do you need it? Applying your polish with a mop rather than buffing like you see in commercial settings will help a lot. I haven't had problem with the floor being slippery when i've had water or a thick layer of sawdust on mine.

If the VCT is already down, you might want to look into this product. It is a non-slip coating that is available in three textures and a few colors including clear. I have no experience with it so my first question would be compatibility with VCT. I'd also be concerned about how easy it would be to clean the medium and heavy traction coatings. This type of solution has to be a lot cheaper than installing a non-slip VCT.

wow, this stuff looks good! Has anyone used it on VCT?? I want vct but hope to not have to spend the additional cost for the safety zone type. The difference can be as much as 400%. This looks interesting!
