O.K. I know alot of you guys love to search through the local flea mkts/yard sales for that great find so let's see your great finds. Let's say to Qualify ratchets that were less than $3.00 each. I'll post a pic of mine here in a bit,I'll have to dig it out & snap a picture.

here's mine, it's a powr kraft 1/2 dr made by wright, paid $2.00 for it earlier this summer

These are some of my more recent cheapies.
From top down:

$5 - Proto 5450 long handled 1/2 drive. I know it's over the 3 buck limit, but it was still a great buy. I did have to put a new selector switch/pawl in it. (which I had)

$3 - Husky CB-45 3/8dr. New Britain made

$3 - Indestro Select 2775 3/8 drive. Never been a big fan of Indestro ratchets, but this one is changing my mind. 2 weeks ago I picked up a matching 1/2dr version ($8).

$3 - S-K 40971 1/4dr long handle. Needed a gut kit, was rusted solid

$3 - S-K 40970 1/4dr Has slight chrome chipping in selector

I don't think I've ever paid more than $10 for a ratchet at a garage/estate sale.

That was $2. Also got a nice old Wright 13/16 wrench I needed for a $1 finish was dull, but I didn't buy it for the looks but because I really needed one for work also same guy got a Geodore 1 1/8 wrench for a $1. And I got 2 metal socket holders 1 was a Matco and the other was a SK holder the paint on them both was 100% ****, $2 and $1 for them. Did take any pics but will post if asked.

Don't have pics at the moment, but around 2 years ago, I bought a Facom, 3/8 drive, non-palm control ratchet at the local flea market. Like new condition. The guy had all of his stuff with price stickers attached, and he wanted (drum-roll please) $1.25 US for the Facom. Of course, I snapped it right up. Unfortunately, he didn't have any other Facom, or of course, I'd have bought it as well.

resurrecting an ancient thread, but yesterday I found anouther Wright made powr kraft ratchet this one is in a little bit worse shape, but functions 100% for a whopping 78 cents the grease in it was so dried up it would only ratchet in one direction, and freewheel in the other, after taking it apart and soaking the parts in solvent it works like brand new.

Here's the pic the top one is the new 78 cent one, the bottom was bought 2 yrs ago for $2 and the middle one was traded for at the pawn shop, straight accross for some other brand of 1/2"ratchet I had acquired, but never did warm up to. all three are slightly different but all are the same part #

Proto 1/2 and 3/8" drive pear heads for $2/ea at a yard sale, bought a ~20 year old 1/2" drive Blackhawk at the same yard sale for $2 as well.

SO F710 3/8" for $1 at a pawn shop. Had to put a rebuild kit in it though.

1 SK 3/8" drive for $3 at a pawn shop. Reverse selector woudln't move, it was just frozen up due to rust, soaked it in some Liquid Wrench, lubed it up a little and now it is as good as new.

I think my Dad has a Power Kraft / Wright... I recognise the black rubber handle. He has had it for over 30 years and uses it quite regularly.
FWIW.

Got the same Powerkraft-Wright the OP shows, but his looks better. Got mine from pawn shop for about same price, took it apart, cleaned and oiled it, it works fine. That tootsie roll handle looks cheesy but feels so good. I yeilded to temptation and bought a NOS Wright with the tootsie roll handle from a dealer,,but not for $2.

I've gotten great deals on industrial finish ratchets by asking "what will you take for that rusty old ratchet?" I got a Williams 1/2 and a Proto 3/8, both of which were barely used and I have $5 or less in both of them(bought separately).

At an auction last year they had a table of Williams b-52 ratchets, a few Proto and Armstrong mixed in. Three to a bundle, $9 a bundle, choice. pissed off a few guys when I got them all. Hundred and seventy something total. S-52 was $4

one of my very few snap on tools (SL 710 I believe) I got for free because it had a broken reverse lever. I got a replacement for $0.79 shipped and fixed it.
