NON working WEG industrial VFD & Enclosure

What are you going to do with it? A 200hp VFDs that doesn't work is kind of a boat anchor...if you strip out all the guts the enclosure may be good as a storage cabinet.

Unless there is some real high current damage to the power semi-conductor setup, this unit is well worth repairing.
Get a complete manual and start looking in the auxilliary power section, providing the working voltages for the control circuits.
I cry when I see equipment like this being butchered for the lack of some $25 repair job.

Does it contain any schematic diagrams?
If so, for starters , please post the one showing external connections, power as well as control. Based on that I can describe a few simple checks. DVM required,

Your biggest hurdle may be the input voltage, the coils may be sized wrong. I can't remember if you have fancy voltage at your shop, it is definitely something you will have to look at.

The WEG is a soft motor start, I asked at work about it and was told they have no idea what's wrong with if anything, it was just exchanged for another one.

A soft starter is not the same thing as a VFD. VFDs can do soft starts, but a dedicated soft starter cannot do VFD things. If its dead, it's really not worth much, IMO. Scrap the soft starter, keep the cabinet, wires and switch gear.

If you scrap it, make sure any capacitors are discharged before opening it up. Not sure about a soft-start, but big VFDs usually have a nice big Aluminium heatsink inside that anyone who makes stuff stuff will find a use for.
