Your Google must server connection is broken, yes. Search for 'new britain' and the top listing is a Wikipedia web site {http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Britain,_Connecticut} about the town of New Britain Connecticut and tool made there. Next Google 'new britain tool company' and again the top result of about 4,110,000 is {http://home.comcast.net/~alloy-artifacts/newbritain-nonebetter.html} That's just a few key strokes and a couple minutes. hguerrero please give us something hard and do the easy stuff yourself. :headscrat

I disagree Benz Tech and I see these types of comments a lot on a variety of forums and it bothers me. You see I'm an IT network admin working on mostly open source Os's and also do some web development so I could surely give you something "hard" if your such an expert with computers but thats not the point. With older type tools like this which have a long history many people are looking for personal experience and opinions as well as the history of the specific tool not your generic Wikipedia info. You also fail to see that in asking such a question it adds further information to help this site become its own source of information about the tool.Sorry to rant off topic and no offence to Benz tech.

Geesh, harsh words for your second post and after less than 5 days on the boards. I dont believe you have proven yourself here, and neither have I but that is why I would never bash someone for asking a question. Maybe since your so smart tell me the metallurgic makeup of this? Or the date of manufacture?

Maybe a nice way of saying that without sounding like a **** would be this

O and check the classifieds if you are looking to sell it, I do believe someone there was looking to buy one like it, but I could be wrong.

Hi,

Non Better was a play on words for new Britain (NB) ; I am always on the lookout for New Britain tools. Some of the early tools for craftsman were made by that company.

Hope this helps.

If I remember correctly, None Better was New Britain's value brand. According to Alloy Artifacts, it looks like the previous model was made in the 30s. I know it's not terribly helpful, but yours was made sometime after that.
