Hi too all...
Just found this forum and its fantastic, looking forward to sharing and learning from others.
First off I'm three years into my garage project in our new home we purchased in '07. My attached garage is 23 x 23 with a small 3 x 9 niche.
My goal is to have nothing but my two Mustangs and anything related to my babies only in the garage (workbench, tool and cabinets).
However, one small problem, my wife... She loves to hoard **** and she has many hobbies like refinishing furniture and such.
So my actually first 'garage' projects had nothing to do with my garage!
Phase I: I had to build 160 sf of storage shelving in our attic for her ‘indoor ****’.
Phase II: Having a custom built 12 x 24 workshop in the backyard. This holds my lawn equipment and her ‘outdoor ****’. Its insulated, has power, along with AC/Heat so she has a place to work all year round.
Now onto my garage; the first thing we did was to start with a mural on the Shelby’s side of the garage.
Followed by my license plate collection (all 50 states x2 and a few extras).
Then last spring I finally got around to coating my floor with the Rust-Oleum EPOXYSheild (I have a few questions about this later on).
Here’s a shot after I added matching LeMans Stripes.
On my to-do list for this spring:
Clear coat the floor
Add some more garage art
Install workbench and cabinets
