Greetings, salutations, bon jour, guten tag, hola, ohayo!
Stumbled across this forum in my quest to renovate a.. wait for it.. garage. I do believe that this might be the right place to pick up tips, strategies, ask questions, and eventually, brag about results.
My former abode was small, and had a commensurately small attached garage. The garage was insulated and decently finished, and while it had insufficient electrical service, I was able to mangle woodcraft and smoke cigars out there in some modicum of comfort year-round.
We recently bought a larger house, with a spacious, detached garage, with its own 80 amp subpanel complete with a 220v breaker. However.. it is cold as the Dikkens (Dikkens with 2 'k's, the well-known Dutch author), being brick on the outside, and bare boards and 2x4 framing on the inside.
So... my quest for the spring of 2015, will be to transform the space into a year-round retreat where I, and friends and neighbors, may mangle woodcraft and smoke cigars.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. I'll thank you in advance for any help, correction, and well-deserved abuse that I may receive here.
