New to the forum, but always appreciated well crafted handtools. I've been working in the middle east for the past two years and there is a great variety of tools available here from Germany/Europe, and also Taiwan and India. . . I'm trying to stock up on some stuff that's impossible or expensive to get in the US.
So I'm in a store today and I start looking at the lower, very dusty shelves and I spot some Elora boxes. Old Elora boxes, marked West Germany! I ended up buying two sets of combination wrenches, and a great complete tool set. It looks like an old school lunch box and folds open with 4 drawers and a top tray. Filled with all sorts of stuff. 1/4" drive socket set, variety of pliers, nut drivers, obstruction screwdrivers, electricians screwdrivers pin punches, small hammer. It's pretty much a homeowners complete little set. Was really something to be opening packages that have been sitting around for probably 20 years.
I will try and post some pics, bear with me, only second post here.
